To provide an inner flame type burner for a stove with a number of inward opening flame holes in the inner periphery of an annular burner body, comprising upper and lower straightening plates for secondary air arranged on the upper and lower sides of the burner body, the upper straightening plate having an inner peripheral portion provided with a tapered cylindrical portion extending obliquely upward to a radially inward direction, thereby preventing boiled-over liquid flowing down along the inner face of the cylindrical portion of the upper straightening plate from dropping down into a stove body.
At the outer peripheral edge of the upper straightening plate 5, a suspended wall portion 5c is formed which abuts on the upper face of the burner body. and in a predetermined peripheral site of the suspended wall portion 5c, a cutout 5d is formed which reaches the lower edge of the suspended wall portion. At a peripheral site of the outer periphery of the lower straightening plate 6, corresponding to at least a site of the cutout 5d formed, a liquid receiving portion 6e is formed which extends from the burner body 3 to the radially outward direction. In the suspended wall portion 5c, a plurality of vent holes 5e are formed which do not reach the lower edge thereof.
