To provide an installation method capable of safely and efficiently installing even a large-size solar cell module by a small number of workers to thereby save labor in installation work of the solar cell module.
An installation method for a solar cell sub-array includes: placing a sub-array 10 with a light receiving surface faced upward, in which support rails 12 are attached to upper and lower portions of a rear surface of a solar cell module 11, on a conveyance auxiliary tool 30 having a conveyance inclined surface 30a inclined downward from a rear side to a front side; then lifting up the conveyance auxiliary tool 30 over trestles 20 by using a forklift 40 and the like to convey the conveyance auxiliary tool 30 and the sub-array 10 from a front side or a rear side of construction ground G to between the left and right trestles 20; then lowering the conveyance auxiliary tool 30 and the sub-array 10 from above a scheduled installation position to place both ends of the support rails 12 of the sub-array 10 to receiving parts 25 provided on mounting inclined surfaces 23a of the trestles 20, respectively; and then detaching the conveyance auxiliary tool 30 from the trestles 20.
