Title:
INTEGRAL RECEIVER/CONDENSER FOR COOLING MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH11270928
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an integral receiver/condenser used for a cooling system which does not receive the influence of a turbulent flow.

The deterioration of efficiency of a condenser due to an undesired supercooling state which is caused by a cooling material of gas phase entering the supercooling stage of the condenser 20 from a receiver 22 can be avoided by slantly attaching an upper liquid inlet 64 to the receiver 22 with respect to the longitudinal axis of the receiver and inducing an eddy flow in the cooling material of the receiver 22. A baffle is positioned between the upper liquid inlet 64 and a lower liquid outlet 66, so that the turbulent flow in the receiver 22 is isolated from the lower liquid outlet 66.
