To provide an internal combustion engine control unit, which rapidly increases an intake airflow to flow into a cylinder when an increase in the intake air flow is required.
The internal combustion engine control unit is provided with a throttle valve 12, a bypass 13, and a selector valve 17. The bypass 13 branches from an air intake passage 3 at the branching part 3a provided in the air intake passage 3 downstream of the throttle valve 12, converges into the intake passage 3 at the converging part 3b provided downstream of the branching part 3a, and is shorter than an intermediate passage 14 being the air intake passage 3 from the branching part 3a to the converging part 3b. The selector valve 17 switches a first position P1 introducing intake air via the intermediate passage 14 and a second position P2 introducing intake air via the bypass 13. The control unit switches the selector valve 17 into the second position P2 when a request for an intake air increase control to open the throttle valve 12 is made so as to increase a torque of the internal combustion engine 1.
