Abstract:
PURPOSE: To separate water in fuel supplied to a fuel injection means such a fuel injection pump and to prevent a filter case from being deteriorated or damaged.
CONSTITUTION: When fuel in a fuel tank 10 is supplied to a fuel injection pump 40 by a fuel supply pump 20, a fuel filter 30 having the function of separating even water in the fuel is provided between the fuel supply pump 20 and the fuel injection pump 40 to constitute a fuel filter circuit. The fuel filter 30 is formed to have an exhaust port 33 in its bottom, and from the exhaust port 33 the separated water and a part of the fuel supplied to the fuel injection pump 40 are constantly discharged toward the fuel tank 10.
