Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable data relay even when a plurality of lines are disconnected among the lines connected to a virtual router.
SOLUTION: In an internetwork connection such that a virtual router is configured of a plurality of routers 10, 11, each connected to an identical network with the relation of a master and a backup being set by an implemented VRRP, and a packet input from the network concerned or an external network is forwarded to a destination network, substitution ports 10c, 11c are provided in the both routers 10, 11. The above substitution ports 10c, 11c are interconnected through a signal line 3. When a line break occurs on both a line A and a line D, a packet being input from either a PC 1 or the Internet 2 is relayed through a path including the substitution ports 10c, 11c.
