Abstract:
To provide an ionization chamber type radiation detection device that allows for simplification of the constitution and reduction of the cost thereof by reducing the number of cables and current detectors connected to the ionization chamber and furthermore enables an ionized current by radiation to be highly accurately detected.SOLUTION: The ionization chamber type radiation detection device comprises: an ionization chamber 300 which incorporates a high pressure electrode 301 and a signal electrode 302 and is encapsulated with ionized gas; a power source cable 100 connected to a high-voltage electrode 301 and a signal cable 200 connected to a signal electrode 302, the cable 100 and the cable 200 being MI cables; a power source unit 400 applying a high voltage between the high pressure electrode 301 and the signal electrode 302; and a signal processing unit 500 which is connected to the signal cable 200, measures the signal output current and performs a predetermined arithmetic operation, the signal processing unit 500 measures a first, second signal output current in each state in which the polarity of the applied voltage is reversed by the power source unit 400, and calculates a dose rate of radiation using differential current between the first and the second signal output currents and current sensitivity.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
