Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manhole in which invasion of rainwater or sand can be prevented, and which can be opened by simple hook operation.
SOLUTION: This iron cover for a manhole comprises a cover main body 10 to be embedded in a receiving frame 11, and a bag-shaped recess 12 provided at a lower part of its circumferential edge part. The recess 12 has an opening part 14 into which a hook part 13A of a cover opening hook 13 at an upper part is inserted. The recess 12 is formed of a right/left side wall 12A and a V-shaped bottom wall 12B. The opening part 14 of the recess 12 is formed by cutting a part of an upper wall of a circumferential edge of the cover main body 10 and a circumferential wall of the cover main body 10. A center side upper wall of the cover main body 10 of the recess 12 overhangs the circumferential wall side, thereby a hook 15 with which the hook part 13A of the cover opening hook 13 is engaged is formed.
