PURPOSE: To adjust temperature in response to the type of different fabrics by providing an input switching means or an input controller on an iron device, and controlling the action of magnetism generating coils.
CONSTITUTION: A magnetism generating controller 11 feeds a high-frequency current to the magnetism generating coils 4 of a magnetism generator 3 to generate magnetic lines of force and heats an iron 1 on an iron base 2. An input switching means 12 provided between the iron base 2 and the magnetism generating controller 11 divides a switch into three steps: e.g. 'strong', 'medium', and 'weak', all the magnetism generating coils 4 are operated for 'strong', 2/3 of the magnetism generating coils 4 are operated for 'medium', and 1/3 of the magnetism generating coils 4 are operated for 'weak'. The input switching switch 12 is selected in response to the type of a fabric 7, and the heating temperature corresponding to it is generated on the iron 1.
