NEW MATERIAL: The compd. of formula I [R is 1 to 18C aliphatic hydrocarbon having valance of (m+n), 4 to 15C alicyclic hydrocarbon group, 6 to 15C arom. hydrocarbon group, etc.; R' is 1 to 18C aliphatic hydrocarbon group which can contain an ether bridge, 4 to 15C alicyclic hydrocarbon group, etc.; (m) and (n) are 1, 2].
EXAMPLE: N-(6-isocyanate-caproyl)-ethylester carbamate.
USE: An intermediate. An intermediate for production of thermally crosslinkable synthetic resins or synthetic resin precursors or an intermediate for production of crosslinking agents for synthetic resins.
PROCESS: The compd. of the formula I is obtd. by bringing the isocyanate carboxylic chloride of formula II into reaction with the carbamate of formula III in a temp. range of about 20 to 140°C at a molar ratio of 0.9:1 to 1.1:1.
