PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jacking method for laying a fluid transport pipe to be used for a waterworks gas, sewerage, etc., by a non open-cut method and to provide an earthquake resistant jacking pipe joint.
SOLUTION: This pipe joint provided with a rubber ring sealing a clearance between a socket internal circumferential face and an insertion port outer circumferential face of a pipe, a presser ring pushing the rubber ring into the socket via a split ring, and a bolt/nut fastening the presser ring to the socket side, is provided with a lock ring in the internal circumferential face of the socket, an insertion port projection engaged with the lock ring and preventing the insertion port from being deviated in the insertion port tip part, and a flange opposed to the socket in the insertion port outer circumferential part. The jacking machine which is provided with a collar for transmitting a jacking force and being fractured after completing the jacking, and a pipe joint having the rear end abutting on the collar, the front end abutting on the socket end, and a rod part for transmitting the jacking force interposed therebetween, between the flange and the socket end, excavates and drives the underground while adding a pipe thereto using them. The collar is fractured after the jacking so that the machine can be contracted by the length of the collar when applying a contraction force by an earthquake, etc., thereon.
