PURPOSE: To join stringly and fibrous assemblies with constituent fibers in the minimum amount required and avoid nonuniform draft, by paralleling joining ends of two stringy and fibrous assemblies, superposing the ends and piercing plural specific needles through the superposed part.

CONSTITUTION: Slivers (R1) and (R2) in a state of superposed joining ends thereof are inserted between needle boards 8 and 9 and handles (10a) and (10b) are gripped to pierce the burred tips of needles 2, 2... through the slivers (R1) and (R2). The gripping of the handles (10a) and (10b) is loosened to raise the needle head 3 and hook the constituent fibers with the burrs (2a), (2a)... of the needles 2, 2.... The slivers (R1) and (R2) are joined by the entanglement of the respective constituent fibers.
