Abstract:
PURPOSE: To increase the strength of segments and joints by superposing joint fittings provided at the ends of joints of adjoining segments and clamped down with clamp metals by jointing, and reducing joint recess.
CONSTITUTION: Joint fittings 4 provided at the ends of joints of adjoining segments 1 are mutually superposed by mutual abutting of joint surfaces 2 of segments 1 of arc and many of which are connected to form cylindrical tunnel wall body. A pair of joint fittings 4 of the pair of segments 1 is clamped down with a clamp metal 6. At this time, respective side plate parts 6a and 6a of the clamp metal 6 are inserted into the recesses 5 and 5 provided at the joint fittings 4, and the respective joint fittings 4 are integrally fixed and both of the segments 1 are jointed. Therefore, the joint recesses for jointing the segments 1 can be reduced as much as possible.
