Abstract:
To accurately detect rupture of a steel plate.SOLUTION: A determination system 1 according to the invention comprises: a looper 400 comprising a lifting roll 401 that is arranged on a carrying passage of a steel plate 10 and presses the steel plate 10 from above to generate tension and a counter balance weight 402 that adjusts force by which the lifting roll 401 presses the steel plate 10; a discharging device that is arranged on the carrying passage of the steel plate 10 to discharge the steel plate 10 to the looper 400; a drawing device that draws-in the steel plate 10 discharged from the looper 400; and rupture determining means that determines that there is a ruptured part being a ruptured end part of the steel plate 10 in a determination region 604 being a region between the discharging device and the drawing device, when a position in a vertical direction of the lifting roll 401 is equal to or lower than a roll reference height.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
