To provide a key device capable of preventing the whole key device from becoming thick even if an authentication key with a thick electricity storage part is used.
A key device is attached on a surface of a safe deposit box door 10, which has lock holes and is mounted rotatably around a rotating shaft, and allows a specific authentication key 23 to use the lock holes. The safe deposit box door 10 is equipped with a chassis part capable of moving between a shielding position to shield the lock holes and an open position to expose the lock holes and an unlocking mechanism part allowing the chassis part to move from the shielding position on its surface. The authentication key 23 has a key body part 231 to be inserted into a key insertion part 213 of the chassis part and an electricity storage part 232 with convex surface on the key body part 231. The key body part 231 of the authentication key 23 is inserted into the key insertion part 213 so that the electricity storage part 232 protrudes toward the safe deposit box door 10.
