To increase degree of freedom of a layout for an indicator lamp on an external surface of a chassis of a key device and improve visibility of an identification character string.
A key device comprises: a lock mechanism 22 for switching a chassis part 21 of the key device 20 between a lock state for fixing the chassis part 21 at a shielding position to shield lock holes and an unlock state for allowing the chassis part 21 to move from the shielding position to an open position to expose the lock holes; an authentication key set part 213 to set an authentication key; a display part 212 on which identification information for identifying a safe deposit box is displayed; and an indicator lamp 300 for indicating the state of the lock mechanism. The indicator lamp 300 comprises: an opening 301 formed on a front panel 211; a light-emitting device 303 mounted on a circuit board 221 in the chassis part 21; and a light-guiding member 302 with its one end 302a placed in the opening 301 and its other end 302b facing the light-emitting device 303.
