Abstract:
To provide a laminate polyester film excellent in dimensional stability, especially dimensional stability to environmental change such as temperature or humidity, and small in film elongation rate at 110°C in a longer direction more easily.SOLUTION: There are provided a laminate polyester film by laminating a film layer A and a film layer B, of which a main resin component consists of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid component and polyester which is an alkylene glycol component having 2 to 6 carbon atoms, in which the polyester forming at least the film layer B is copolymerized with aliphatic dimer acid having 31 to 51 carbon atoms, content of the aliphatic dimer acid based on the whole laminate polyester film (WAB) is in a range of 0.5 to 3.5 mol% and content of the aliphatic dimer acid in the film layer B (WB) is larger than the content of the aliphatic dimer acid in the film layer A (WA) by 0.3 mol%, based on molar number of all dicarboxylic acid components, and a magnetic recording medium using the same.SELECTED DRAWING: None
