This lamp 1 for study furniture includes a first long light source 6, a second long light source 7 and an operation switch 11. The first long light source 6 includes a number of LED lights 8 arrayed along the longitudinal direction of the top plate 3 of a learning desk 2. The second long light source 7 includes an elongated fluorescent lamp 9 extending parallel to the first long light source 6. By operating the operation switch 11, one or both of the first long light source 6 and the second long light source 7 are lighted, and further when the light intensity of the long light source turned on is adjusted, the lighting condition on the top plate 3 in the whole longitudinal region of the top plate 3 can be finely controlled (modulated), and also desired power consumption can be achieved.
