Abstract:
To reduce a risk of erroneous mounting of an incompatible lamp on a socket.SOLUTION: A lamp unit 1 includes a lamp 2 and a socket 3. On the socket 3, the lamp 2 can be mounted. The lamp 2 includes a light source 4, a lamp main body 5, and a power supply pin 7. The power supply pin 7 is provided on the lamp main body 5 and is a pin to receive power supply. The socket 3 includes a socket main body 8. The lamp main body 5 has a discrimination recessed portion. The discrimination recessed portion is corresponded to characteristics of the lamp 2. The socket main body 8 has a power supply hole 83 and a discrimination projecting portion. The power supply hole 83 is a hole to which the power supply pin 7 can be inserted. The discrimination projecting portion is a projecting portion capable of being inserted to the discrimination recessed portion. Relative positions of the discrimination recessed portion and the power supply pin 7 on the lamp 2 are different according to the characteristics. Relative positions of the discrimination projecting portion and the power supply hole 83 on the socket 3 are different according to the lamp of the kind permitted by the socket 3 with respect to the characteristic of the plurality of kinds of lamps including the lamp 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
