To provide a latch receiver which has simple constitution and can be manufactured at low cost, be prisely, simply and quickly adjusted by fingers without a tool such as a screw driver, kept the adjusted state for a long period of time, and can be improved in appearance when it is installed in a frame by heightening the strength for screwing of a small screw, and making constant the fitting dimensions to the frame.

This latch receiver includes a grout box 6 fitted to the frame 1, an adjusting means 14, a part of which is exposed to the outside to be stored in the grout box 6 and can be displaced from the outside, a receiving box 15 which is engaged with the adjusting means 14 and moved in the direction of thickness of a door 26 capable of receiving a latch 25 inside, and a bearing seat 20 disposed on an opening side of the receiving box 15 and provided with an opening window 21 where the latch 25 is inserted and extracted. A guide shaft 13 is constructed in the direction of thickness of the door 26 in the grout box 6, and the adjusting means 14 is installed movably along the guide shaft 13. The adjusting means 14 is installed rotatably around the guide shaft 13.
