As means for launching and receiving a hollow capsule 30, a launching-type device for generating weightlessness is made by a plate 2 suspended from a base member 2 by an expandable rubber code 11. The capsule 30 placed on the plate 12 lowered is launched upward by the contraction force of the rubber code 11 and the capsule 30 freely falling down is received by the plate 12 by using the expansion force of the rubber code 11 to produce the condition of weightlessness in the capsule 30.
