Abstract:
To reduce the difference in thermal expansion coefficient between a Mg alloy member and a glass composition applied thereto, preventing the peeling of the glass composition and improving the corrosion resistance of the Mg alloy.SOLUTION: A lead-free low-melting-point glass composition comprises vanadium oxide, phosphorus oxide, iron oxide and alkali metal oxide, and satisfies the relational expressions of (1), (2) and (3) in terms of oxide: [V2O5]>[P2O5]>[Fe2O3] (1), 2[Fe2O3]≤[V2O5]≤[P2O5]+[Fe2O3] (2) and [Fe2O3]≤[R2O]≤2.5[Fe2O3] (3) (where [X] represents the content of a component X, expressed in mol%, and R represents an alkali metal).SELECTED DRAWING: None
