Abstract:
To provide a lens unit, a camera module, an onboard system, and a vehicle with which it is possible to suppress the amount of permanent deformation that is caused to one of a vertically stacked pair of lenses by deflection in the optical axis direction, with a mutual contact edge of the lens pair serving as a fulcrum, especially under the action of compressive stress in a high temperature environment.SOLUTION: A lens unit 11 according to the present invention includes a lens group L that is accommodated in a barrel 12, the lens group L comprising a first lens 18, and a second lens 17 adjoining the first lens 18 and having a larger diameter than the first lens 18. The second lens 17 has an extension part 17d that extends radially outward of the first lens 18, the extension part 17d supporting a third lens 16 on the first lens 18 side without being supported in the optical axis direction. Between the first lens 18 and the second lens 17, an elastic member 90 that absorbs stress in the optical axis direction acting upon the second lens 17 from the third lens 16 side is inserted so as to extend to the radially outside across a radially outer end edge R of the first lens 18.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
