To relax restriction relative to lifting work accompanying with a hanging position of an equipment and to accomplish hanging up of the equipment up to a neighborhood to a top part of a hoistway.
The lifting device for the elevator is provided with a hanging beam 10 having both ends detachably mounted to a wall surface 3 of the hoistway; a movable beam 20 extending in a direction perpendicular to a longitudinal direction 40 of the hanging beam 10 and having a hanging point 20a for receiving load of the equipment at its end; and a fixing means 21 capable of fixing the movable beam 20 to the hanging beam 10 at an optional position in the longitudinal direction of the hanging beam 10. The fixing means 21 includes a pair of fixing plates 12 abutted on both side parts in a short direction 50 of the hanging beam 10 respectively and having an insertion hole 12a inserted with the movable beam 20; and a pair of block members 13 arranged between the pair of fixing plates 12 so as to clamp the hanging beam 10 and the movable beam 20 and fixed to the fixing plates 12 by an assembling bolt 32 respectively.
