Abstract:
PURPOSE:To increase the diffracting angle range of a light beam by allowing it to be incident from the light incident end-face side of an acoustic optical element to make once diffractive deflection, reflecting the beam with No.1 reflex element, and subjecting it again to diffractive deflection. CONSTITUTION:In tight contact state, a reflex element 22 is installed on the diffracted beam emitting end-face 10b of an acoustic optical element. When a transducer 12 is actuated, light beam 20 is diffracted in the ultra-sonic wave transmission band 16 and emitted from the diffracted beam emitting end-face 10b as diffracted light, which is reflected by the reflex element 22 to be returned into acoustic optical medium 10. The reflected light is again diffracted in the ultra-sonic wave transmission band 16 and emitted from the light incident end- face 10a of the acoustic optical element.
