To provide a light source system capable of emitting varied light in correspondence to purposes.
The light source system is provided with a light source unit 100-1 equipped with a semiconductor laser 10-1 emitting primary light, and a connector 52 of a connection part 50 fitted on an optical path of the primary light and capable of attaching and detaching a light conversion unit containing light-converting elements converting optical properties of the primary light and generating secondary light. And further, the light source system is provided with a light conversion unit group structured of a plurality of light-converting units 200-1, 200-2, 220-3. All of the light-converting units 200-1, 200-2, 220-3 belonging to the light conversion unit group, can be connected with the light source unit 100-1 by the connection part 50. Thus, it is capable of realizing varied illumination light with fewer members by connecting with a compatible connection part 50 so as to enable to combine the light converting units 200-1, 200-2, 220-3 with the light source unit 100-1.
