Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the line speed control means capable in the strip process line of preventing a stoppage or a speed reduction in a central line and of securing a higher productivity as well. SOLUTION: A speed difference VCEE between an entrance side line speed and a center line speed is controlled to be constant so that a looper length can be shortest at the start time of acceleration, leaving the strip volume paid off from the start to the end of acceleration based on an effective left length XE of a looper in a looper apparatus and a left time TE from the time after an automatic deceleration of the entrance side line to the startable time for acceleration, at the times of deceleration and stoppage of the entrance side line. The process at the entrance side line is divided into plural blocks, and the control is corrected based on the difference between the standard processing time and the actual processing time of each block.
