Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear actuator capable of performing a magnetic pole detection operation even in a case where a movable element is located in a stroke end.SOLUTION: A linear actuator 1 comprises: a direct-acting device consisting of a linear motor including a stator 10 and a movable element 11; a stopper 12 which regulates movements of the movable element 11 in relative to the stator 10 within a fixed range; and a control device as magnetic pole detection means which moves the movable element 11 in relative to the stator 10 and detects a magnetic pole position of the movable element 11 in relative to the stator 10. The stopper 12 includes a deformable region B2 that is as large as or larger than a movement distance B1 of the movable element 11 required for the magnetic pole detection.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
