Abstract:
Provided is a liquefied gas carrying vessel comprising: a tank that stores a liquefied gas; a compressor; a gas-fireable engine; a vaporized gas line that guides a vaporized gas within the tank to the compressor; a fuel gas supply line that guides a fuel gas discharged from the compressor to the engine; a return line that guides the fuel gas of the fuel gas supply line to a liquid phase within the tank; a return valve provided to the return line; and a control device. The control device controls a discharge amount of the compressor so that the pressure of the fuel gas is within the range of a required pressure of the engine, monitors a decrease in a load of the engine, and, when a decrease in the load of the engine has been detected, controls an opening degree of the return valve so that fuel gas in an amount substantially corresponding to the difference between an engine consumption gas amount and an amount of vaporized gas that flows into the vaporized gas line from the tank is returned to the tank via the return line.
