A second ink absorption body 34 as a defoaming member is provided in a container recessed section 35 at a side of a discharge tube 27 of a first ink absorption body 33 in a collection container 31 of an ink collection unit 30. The second ink absorption body 34 is impregnated with a defoaming liquid 36 for eliminating a bubble B in a discharged ink I. The bubble B involved in the discharged ink I discharged from a discharge hole 27a is eliminated by the defoaming liquid 36 involved in the second ink absorption body 34, and then the discharged ink I not involving the bubble B is absorbed by the first and second ink absorption bodies 33, 34 to be collected thereby.
