Abstract:

PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition which is prevented from being thermally deteriorated during molding and is excellent in oxidation resistance, strengths and modulus by mixing a liquid-crystal polyester carbonate resin with a metal- inactivator in a specified mixing ratio. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. liquid-crystal polyester carbonate resin (e.g. a resin prepared by melt-polycondensing p-hydroxybenzoic acid with 4,4'- dihydroxydiphenyl and diphenyl carbonate) is mixed with 0.01-5 pts.wt. metal inactivator [e.g. 3-(N-salicyloyl)amino-1,2,4-triazole].
