Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejection head in which distortion can be corrected or prevented when a pressure generating chamber forming plate is formed with high accuracy by forging, and to provide a manufacturing process therefor.
SOLUTION: The liquid ejection head 1 comprises a pressure generating chamber forming plate 30 arranged with a row of groove-like recesses 33 becoming pressure generating chambers 29, a metallic nozzle plate 31 through which nozzle openings 48 are bored, a metallic sealing plate for sealing the opening plane of the groove-like recesses 33, and a channel unit 4 formed by bonding the sealing plate to the groove-like recesses 33 side of the pressure generating chamber forming plate 30 and bonding the nozzle plate 31 to the opposite side wherein the pressure generating chamber forming plate 30 is provided in a region 66 other than a machined part 64, i.e. a region where respective groove-like recesses 33 are formed, with a plurality of microrecess parts 63. Since the difference of residual stress is reduced as much as possible between the region of the machined part 64 and the other region 66, distortion of the pressure generating chamber forming plate 30 can be corrected or prevented.
