PURPOSE: To improve the combustion characteristics of a liquid fuel burning apparatus at the time of ite operation from ignition to normal extinction and to increase the range of stable combustion of the apparatus, by fixing a ring-like support to the inner surface of a burner body, placing a combustion ring on the ring-like support, and thereby reducing the clearance between the burner body and the outer circumference of the combustion ring to zero.
CONSTITUTION: A burner body 1 in the form of a sleeve having a top plate is made of a heat-resisting metal and it is used as a boiler wall. A vaporizing sleeve 2 having a top plate is erected at the central portion of the burner body 1, and a plurality of air holes 3 are formed in the upper and lower peripheral wall of the vaporizing sleeve 2. A combustion assisting sleeve 4 is erected concentrically withthe vaporizing sleeve 2 in the manner of surrounding the same. The top of the combustion assisting sleeve 4 is opened and it has a fuel hole 5 formed in its side wall and a plurality of recirculatong holes 6 formed in the lower portion of its peripheral wall. Further, a combustion ring 7 having an opening 8 and disposed above the vaporizing sleeve 2 is placed on a ring-like support 9 fixed to the inner surface of the burner body 1. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to improve the combustion characteristics of a liquid fuel burning apparatus at the time of its operation from ignition to normal extinction of flame and to increase the range of stable combustion of the apparatus.
