The lithium air secondary battery includes: an oxygen-absorbing material 12; an air electrode 14 being adjacent to or close to the oxygen-absorbing material, and acting as a positive electrode; a negative electrode 16 facing the air electrode, and containing lithium or a lithium alloy; a separator 18 provided between the air electrode and the negative electrode, and composed of an inorganic solid electrolyte with lithium-ion conductivity; an electrolytic solution 20 charged between the air electrode and the separator and/or between the separator and the negative electrode; and a case accommodating the oxygen-absorbing material, the air electrode, the electrolytic solution, the separator, and the negative electrode.
