Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load bearing wall capable of suppressing the decrease in vibration damping property.SOLUTION: A load bearing wall W comprises: a sill 11; a pair of end side vertical frames 12; a central side vertical frame 13; a head jamb 14; a pair of lower side support members 3 arranged at both left and right sides with the central side vertical frame 13 interposed between them, and with base end sides thereof fixed to both left and right sides of the sill 11; a pair of upper side support members 5 arranged at both left and right sides with the central side vertical frame 13 interposed between them, and with base end sides thereof fixed to both left and right sides of the head jamb 14; and a pair of viscoelastic dampers 7 arranged at both left and right sides with the central side vertical frame 13 interposed between them, and supported between the lower side support members 3 and the upper side support members 5, respectively. The central side vertical frame 13 has laterally penetrating first and second hole parts 13a, 13b. The pair of viscoelastic dampers 7 are connected together by a first tie 81 inserted through the first hole part 13a and a second tie 82 inserted through the second hole part 13b.
