Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure that is strong against tsunami and further can take refuge safely and promptly in various disasters, while overcoming acceptance and processing technology of debris.SOLUTION: At least a first floor of a building is supported by ellipse-shaped struts directed to the sea side at which the tsunami arrives, so that the resistance of water when the tsunami arrives at and draws back is reduced even if the tsunami comes by any chance, and poles of the first floor are rarely damaged by the tsunami to thereby minimize the damage. Also, as shown in the figure, structures 13, 15 include tsunami buffers 14 at least in the sea side, and the tsunami buffers 14 are formed in a sharp stem shape toward the arrival direction of the tsunami, so that the tsunami is divided into two with the buffers 14 to reduce the hydraulic pressure which the structures 13, 15 receive from the tsunami. Accordingly, the structures are suitable for facilities handling hazardous materials desired to avoid the damage of the tsunami.
