Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method for efficiently loading a medicine into liposomes and producing the liposomes good in storage storability.
CONSTITUTION: This method for loading ionizable antitumor agents into liposomes comprises (a) the step of preparing the liposomes having a concentration gradient of one or more charged species across membranes in which the concentration gradients is capable of generating transmembrane potentials having an orientation for loading the ionizable antitumor agents into the liposomes, (b) the step of dehydrating the liposomes, (c) a step for storing the dehydrated liposomes, (d) the step of rehydrating the dehydrated liposomes and (e) the step of mixing the ionizable antitumor agents with the rehydrated lipoxomes. Furthermore, a pharmaceutical preparation is obtained by the method.
