Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method for reducing the release rate of a medicine from liposome and decreasing the administration dose and number of the medicine.
CONSTITUTION: This method for reducing the release rate of an ionizable biologically active medicine from a liposome stored in an outer medium comprises generating a member-penetrating potential over a liposome membrane having such an orientation that the inner potential of the liposome is negative in comparison with the potential of the outer medium, when the ionizable biologically active medicine is charged in a positive potential, and that the inner potential of the liposome is positive in comparison with the potential of the outer medium, when the biologically active medicine is charged in a negative potential. A pharmaceutical preparation is obtained by utilizing is method.
