To obtain the subject tape preparation excellent in percutaneous absorbability and handleability and slight in side effect by bearing a flexible substrate with a paste comprising a local anesthetic, rubber-based adhesive, tackifier and liquid paraffin in specified proportions to make a structural form with moderate rigidity.
This tape preparation is obtained by bearing a flexible substrate (e.g. a woven fabric, nonwoven fabric, sheet, each made from a polymeric compound such as polyethylene) with a paste consisting mainly of (A) 5-30 wt.% of a local anesthetic (e.g. lidocaine, tetracaine, procaine) (B) 10-50 wt.% of a rubber-based adhesive (e.g. a styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer), (C) 10-50 wt.% of a tackifier (e.g. an alicyclic saturated hydrocarbon resin, terpene resin, rosin resin), and (D) 10-50 wt.% of liquid paraffin to make a structural form with moderate rigidity.
