Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the manufacturing cost by reducing the number of components of a steering lock device and simplifying the assembling.
SOLUTION: This lock device is provided with a locking element 4 and a control element rotatable to a locking position and an unlocking position for axially reciprocating the locking element 4 between the locking position and the unlocking position, and one slant face 20 and its both end faces 21, 22 of the control element 12 are offset in the direction of a rotating shaft 13 of the control element 12, with respect to the other slant face 24 and its both end faces 25, 26 of the control element 12. Projections 19, 20 are fixed, and the projection 19 cooperated with the slant face 20 and its end faces 21, 22 of the control element 12 farther from the rotating shaft 13 of the control element 12 is offset by a corresponding distance in the direction of the rotating shaft 13 of the control element 12 with respect to the projection 23 cooperated with the other slant face 24 and its end faces 25, 26 of the control element 12.
