Title:
LOW COMBUSTIBLE POLYESTER SLIPPERY FIBER AND PRODUCTION PROCESS THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06341064
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide polyester staple fibers of low combustibility as it holds slipperiness as high as that of silicone compounds.

CONSTITUTION: The low combustible polyester fiber mainly consisting of a polyalkylene terephthalate and including a triglyceride alkylene oxide adduct derivative is characterized by having a water-soluble polyester resin deposited on the fiber surfaces. The fibers are obtained by mixing the glyceride derivative produced by addition of an alkylene oxide to a triglyceride with a polyester mainly consisting of the polyalkylene terephthalate, then melt-spinning the mixture, and applying a water-soluble polyester resin to the fiber surface followed by heat treatment.
