Abstract:
To provide a lubricant composition which contains a specific amount or more of boron, has excellent storge stability while being reduced in viscosity, has low friction and excellent wear resistance and antioxidant properties and to provide a lubricant composition improved in scoring resistance.SOLUTION: There is provided a lubricant composition which comprises (A) a lubricant base oil, (B) a phosphorus-based extreme-pressure agent, (C) a sulfur-based extreme-pressure agent, (D) an ashless dispersant and (E) a copolymer having a weight average molecular weight of 5000 to 100000 which has (E1) a unit derived from an alkyl (meth)acrylate component having an alkyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms and (E2) a unit derived from a hydroxyl group-containing (meth)acrylate component represented by a specific structural formula and has a repeating unit derived from the following (E1) component and a repeating unit derived from the following (E2) component in the mass ratio of (E1):(E2)=95 to 60:5 to 40, wherein the lubricant composition has a kinematic viscosity at 100°C of 2 to 10 mm/s and a boron content of 50 ppm or more and to 2000 ppm or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
