Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lubricating oil composition for an internal combustion engine which is excellent in friction loss reduction in the internal combustion engine of an automobile and is especially suitable for a diesel engine equipped with an exhaust gas recirculator(EGR). SOLUTION: This lubricating oil composition for an internal combustion engine, especially for a diesel engine equipped with an EGR features formulating 0.01-40 wt.%, based on the total weight of the composition, of at least one kind selected from the group consisting of an alkylene oxide adduct to a polyhydric alcohol-partially esterified fatty acid and a fatty acid-partially esterified polyethylene glycol in a base oil composed of a mineral oil and/or a synthetic lubricant.
