Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the effect of leakage of a luminance and a chrominance signal to mutual channel in a region where a picture is subject to rapid change by using a luminance signal/chrominance signal separation filter depending on the correlation of pictures in vertical and horizontal directions in a composite color television signal. CONSTITUTION:A composite color television signal is sampled by an A/D converter 4. Outputs of the A/D converter 4 and one-line delay circuits 5a, 5b are inputted to a vortical direction chrominance signal extraction filter 6a, a horizontal direction chrominance signal extraction filter 6b and a horizontal/vertical direction chrominance signal extraction filter 6c. The outputs of the filters 6a-6c are given to a switch circuit 8 via compensation delay circuits 5c-5e. A picture correlation discrimination circuit 7 applies isolation point elimination to detect the correlation in horizontal and vertical directions aud gives the result to the switch circuit 8 as the control signal. The color signal is led out of the switch circuit 8 and a luminance signal is led from a subtraction circuit 9a receiving the chrominance signal.
