To provide a washing/drying machine in which a wide extra space can be secured under a water tank, a large circulation air volume can be obtained in a heat pump unit, and a high drying performance can be obtained.
By arranging the heat pump unit 44 at the rear corner part of an outer box, a wide extra space can be secured under the water tank. Moreover, an air passage 52 in the case 45 of the heat pump unit 44 is a straight one by an evaporator 50, a capacitor 51 and a circulation fan 46 lining up in one line in the right and left direction. Accordingly, since an air passage resistance is low, the large circulation air volume can be obtained, the heat exchange efficiencies of the evaporator and the capacitor are good, and thus a high drying performance can be obtained.
