Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04335502
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a title substance consisting mainly of water-based magnetic fluid which does not undergo yellowing even when left for a long term under a high temperature condition such as 80°.

CONSTITUTION: A Prussian blue pigment or an ultramarine pigment is loosened in pure water where oleic sodium solution is added and stirred at 90-93°. After cooling the mixture is centrifugally separated, rinsed, and repetitively centrifugally separated for vacuum drying. It is added into a dioctylsulpho succinic sodium solution for pH adjustment. This mixture and a wet type magnetite water-based magnetic fluid are mixed, stirred, and then subjected to beads milling to provide a pigment-loaded water-based magnetic fluid.
