PURPOSE: To prevent a head and a disk from being damaged, by adding an injection hole placed in the proximity of a reverse rotaing direction side of the magnetic disk of the magnetic head, and preventing its stick and slip.

CONSTITUTION: An injection nozzle 31 is installed to a carriage 15, an injection hole 32 is formed on its tip, and the other end is connected to a compressor C through flexible pulp 33. The injection hole 32 is placed so as to be opposed in the proximity of a reverse rotating direction side of a magnetic disk 12 of a tapered part 21 of a magnetic head 11, and the compressor C is started immediately before the rotation of the magnetic disk 12 is started or stopped, and an air flow is jetted from the injection hole 32. In this way, the magnetic head 11 floats up by releasing its absorbed state without deforming gimbals 13 and arms 14a, 14b. After the magnetic disk 12 has attained to its stationary state, the compressor C is stopped, and after that, its regular operation is executed.
