Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus capable of more accurately determining an SAR.SOLUTION: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus 20 comprises: a phantom; a measurement section; and a calculation section. The phantom is installed in an imaging space and is filled with a material resonating with an RF pulse and emitting a magnetic resonance signal. The measurement section measures intensity of a first magnetic resonance signal emitted from the phantom in a state that an object body to be inspected 9 is not inserted into the imaging space and intensity of a second magnetic resonance signal emitted from the phantom in a state that the object body to be inspected 9 is inserted into the imaging space. The calculation section calculates an SAR on the basis of the intensity of the first magnetic resonance signal and the intensity of the second magnetic resonance signal.
