Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extremely lightweight material with improved tensile strength for use in shoe uppers.SOLUTION: Embodiments of a multilayered textile material 10 are described. In these embodiments, the material 10 comprises: a first outer layer 12; a first layer of unidirectionally oriented fibers (i.e., nonwoven fiber layer) 14; a second layer of unidirectionally oriented fibers (i.e., nonwoven fiber layer) 16 oriented at a first angle relative to the first fiber layer 14; a third layer of unidirectionally oriented fibers (i.e., nonwoven fiber layer) 18 oriented at a second angle relative to the first fiber layer 14; and a second outer layer 20.
