To provide a small and lightweight capacitor bushing which is excellent in mechanical strength and has a simple structure by using silicone rubber for an envelope, and closely sticking the same to a resin paper capacitor portion through an adhesive.
A resin paper capacitor portion 2 surrounds a center conductor 1 made of copper or aluminum, and has an electrode metal foil 2a for adjusting an electric field inside insulating material. The resin capacitor portion 2 to which an adhesive or a surfactant is previously applied is pressed in a silicone rubber whose inner diameter is formed smaller than the outer diameter of the resin paper capacitor portion 2 so as to form an envelope 7. By using the silicone rubber for the envelope so as to heighten adhesion with a resin paper capacitor by the elasticity thereof, no insulation oil is required, a small, lightweight, and simple structure is caused, and the infiltration of contaminants can be blocked. Since no insulator is used, it is possible to obtain a capacitor bushing having superior mechanical strength and high weather resistance.
